A lot of ads today are actually fake, but that doesn’t mean they’re bad.
And if you’re using Facebook and/or Twitter to promote yourself, you may find that your ads are not only legit, but they’re also getting promoted.
We’re going to take a look at how to spot and prevent the worst of the worst, as well as how to take advantage of those ads.
Don’t forget the context You may have seen an ad that looks legit, with a title like “I am a new graduate from Monterey University.”
But it’s actually a commercial for an advertiser named Monterey.
The only thing you need to do is check to make sure the content is from a company that Monterey actually owns.
It’s a good idea to read the company’s bio and make sure it’s legit.
For instance, if you see an ad for an electric vehicle, you probably know the company behind it.
The ad for the Tesla is for a company called Teslas International.
That’s not fake.
If you’re looking for a car that sells for more than $25,000, you can’t use a fake name and your ad is unlikely to get pulled.
Make sure your ad has the right keywords and text As soon as you start using your ads, you need some guidelines about what you’re going out there to sell.
If your ads contain keywords, try to keep it short and to the point.
Don “dynamic” keywords, for example, like “sales for electric vehicles.”
If you do this, you won’t have a problem if people don’t pay attention.
Also, try not to get into hyperbole.
For example, “Buy electric vehicles from Tesla.”
That’s too “scooped up.”
Dont post more than one ad per day If you want to get people interested in your ad, you should start out by only posting one.
But once you’re in the habit of posting a few, you’ll be better able to target your ads to specific demographics and target people who will click on them.
For some examples, check out our article on how to target Facebook ads.
Use an email address instead of a Facebook account When you’re first setting up your Facebook account, you’re setting yourself up for a lot of problems.
First, youll want to set up your email address so you can easily get ahold of it if you have any problems.
Second, you might want to use a Facebook friend list instead of one. Facebooks friend list allows you to share a profile picture, a photo, and even a link to your Facebook page.
So even if your account isnt working right, you still can be alerted when someone else uses your Facebook profile.
Finally, you want a secure password, so you wont have to share your account to anyone.
If using an email account doesn’t work for you, then use an online service like OneNote or a social media platform like Instagram.
